Wii U: Deluxe vs. Standard

In case you didn't know, I got a Wii U for Christmas.  If you're thinking of getting one, I recommend the deluxe version.  Here's why:

I took time to add up the cost of buying all the things separately and getting the standard version, versus buying the deluxe to start out with.  The deluxe Wii U is about 50 U.S. dollars more, but I think it's worth it.  With the deluxe Wii U, you get:

  • 4 times the memory (32G instead of 8G)
  • Nintendoland, which is awesome.
  • A charging stand (meh, might as well put it in here)
  • And... it's black.  Which I think looks cooler.  :P

Now, if you bought the standard Wii U and then bought JUST Nintendoland, you would still be losing money.  Nintendoland itself costs 60 dollars, and the deluxe Wii U is just 50 more.  Plus, you also get extra memory, and all the other stuff.  Even if you just got Nintendoland with the deluxe, you'd still be saving money.  So that's what I recommend.  If you're getting a Wii U at all.

Btw, if you have one, my Nintendo Network ID is baconstrip39.   :P

  1. I want a Wii U SOO BAD but my mom just got an Xbox this Christmas, so I'm pretty sure that we won't be getting any new consoles anytime soon :-( but I still love my Wii

    1. What I love about Wii U, is that on the home menu, there is an app (or whatever you call those "channel" things) for the Wii menu. So it lets you go into the normal Wii menu. And, you can save all your progress you made in games on the Wii to the Wii U. But I'm still keeping my Wii to play Gamecube games, since the Wii U can't do that. :(
